Carnegie Slate Camp

Join us for a comprehensive one-day workshop for all Slate users. This workshop will cover key features and modules aimed at optimizing your Slate instance—including Queries, Voyager, Reporting, and Portals. The sessions are structured to progressively build skills, with hands-on opportunities to enhance and achieve your enrollment and retention efforts. A light breakfast and a lunch will be served during the program. Camp Social will begin at 4:00pm PT after the training ends and will include refreshments. Registration is $500 per person. Cancellations submitted two weeks prior to the event will receive a full refund. After that date, registration can be transferred to another attendee from your institution; no refunds will be provided. Laura Murnen Director, Slate Trainings Persona The Considerate and Adventurous GlobetrotterAs Trainings Manager and Senior Slate Strategist, Laura Murnen and her team run accessible and highly productive Slate training workshops for Carnegie's clients. In her seven years of higher education experience, Laura has dabbled in a variety of roles including event planning, service learning, recruitment, and communications. Prior to joining the Carnegie team, she served as a recruiter and Assistant Director of Communications for the University of Cincinnati, where she was first introduced to Slate and started in the path to her current role. Ted joined the Carnegie team in 2021 as part of the company’s merger with Underscore, a dedicated Slate development and optimization company.As a data guru, Ted’s unrivaled expertise spans from queries and migration to user-experience enhancements. Having spent more than five years in college admissions marketing, Nick knows a thing or two about optimizing Slate for each audience. In his spare time, he is a cherry pie and donut connoisseur (not usually together), and enjoys surrealist art.In life, Nick takes a minimalist approach to things. As your Assistant Director of Slate Trainings, however, he dives in with enthusiasm to get you the maximum return on investment. As a former one-man Slate management team for a regional liberal arts university, Rocco is an avid problem solver and an experienced Slate professional who prefers elegant solutions over expedient routes. He is committed to leveraging technology to enhance the admission and enrollment process for both students and enrollment professionals. Rocco earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester.As a Slate Implementation Strategist for Carnegie\'s Slate Optimization team, Rocco Porcellio provides Slate support, training, and technical expertise for Carnegie\'s partners.
