Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager possesses proficient experience working in teams and shows a strong affinity toward the organization of project timelines, documentation, management of team schedules, and strong communication around project status.  They should be comfortable with the technical aspects of the position and interested in learning more about website management, website marketing attribution, Technolutions’ Slate CRM, as well as the higher education space. 

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Project Management
    • Coordinates client projects from client onboarding and project planning through completion
    • Manages project timelines and priorities efficiently
    • Works with the Account Managers to ensure that the client project team meets deadlines on time while meeting the defined strategy and goals of their clients
    • Manages the process and scope for projects, including client requests, feedback consolidation, internal and client routing, gathering approvals, and pushing through to production and/or internal teams
  • Task and Asset Management
    • Masters the use of Asana, effectively and autonomously assigns out tasks to the proper team members. Managing the workflow of those cards and overall project boards to ensure client deadlines and turnaround times are met
    • Ensures quality control of final client deliverables to ensure client satisfaction, troubleshoot problems as needed
    • Ensures internal project teams have all the assets and information they need in order to do their work successfully
  • Communication
    • Ensure effective communication and serve as the primary connection between Account Managers and project team members to execute client needs and/or respond to concerns in a timely manner
    • Create and maintain open lines of communication with the Account Manager, project team members, and strategists to ensure a shared understanding of scope fulfillment status while also flagging task delays when necessary
    • Communicate with clients through Asana, providing notification of project updates and requesting assets and approvals

Qualifications:

    • Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and attention to detail to effectively review final deliverables and execute processes
    • Ability to work under pressure and effectively organize and prioritize responsibilities relative to internal and external projects
    • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
    • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines to support internal and client teams in a timely manner
    • Strong writing and communication skills to clearly collaborate with team members and clients as necessary
    • Highly competent in using Google Suites, specifically advanced Google Sheets and Google Slides skills for daily work
    • Record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to closure
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Experience or understanding of project management theories and how to apply them
    • Dexterity and the wherewithal to effectively deal with ambiguity, change, and continuous process improvements
    • Interpersonal skills to positively collaborate with team members and function as an equal partner in an autonomous team
    • Friendly and easygoing, comfortable in a virtual working environment
    • Asana experience is preferred
    • Adobe Suite, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, Drupal, WordPress, and SEO understanding and/or experience are a plus 
    • Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
    • Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Science, Marketing, or Communications or equivalent life/work experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, and timelines, and effectively delivering solutions
  • Previous web marketing experience is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in the higher education space is preferred
