Slate Communications Strategist

The Slate Communications Strategist role is in charge of the day-to-day operations and strategic success of their clients’ Slate Deliver campaigns, providing clients with enrollment communications insights by analyzing campaign performance reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Slate Campaign Configuration and Monitoring
    • Own the build and maintenance of Slate Deliver campaigns for partner institutions, including email builds (no copywriting or designing), population/rule configuration, report builds, and more
    • Actively communicate with clients about Slate builds, explaining processes, strategy, and implications over scheduled calls or in writing
    • Collaborate closely with members of the client project team (Accounts, Creative, and Slate Strategist Associate) to ensure smooth and accurate campaign operations
  • Slate Campaign Strategy
    • Play a crucial role in communication plan creation alongside the assigned copywriter, providing strategic insights based on past campaign performance and industry trends
    • Analyze Slate reports to note takeaways and recommendations to optimize campaign performance and conversion; present strategic findings to clients via regular campaign check-in calls
    • Take the strategic lead in renewal  presentations for each client, providing overall insights on key outcomes and recommendations for the next cycle in collaboration with the Slate Strategist Associate
    • Collaborate with strategists across the company to provide integrated strategic recommendations for clients 
  • Internal Project Contribution
    • Contribute to team innovation ideation conversations, taking ownership of projects, processes, and integrations that interest them and meet the needs of the team
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Potential to directly manage one Slate Strategist Associate, meeting regularly with them, providing mentorship and guidance, and overseeing their growth and development
    • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations for direct report

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of Slate communications operations through Deliver; working knowledge of enrollment communications strategy and Slate campaign reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail, multitasking, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Interpersonal skills to positively collaborate with team members and represent the company to clients
  • Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
  • Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods

Experience

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent life/work experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of intermediate to advanced experience in Technolutions Slate CRM; experience within the Deliver module required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in higher education
