  • Allana Forte SVP, Chief People & Culture Officer, CCO & Legal Counsel, Jacksonville University

    Allana serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Counsel and Chief People and Culture Officer at Jacksonville University. In addition to leading compliance and legal matters for the University, Allana is also responsible for leading recruitment and retention initiatives for faculty and staff. She oversees activities performed by the Office of People and Culture, including benefits, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, training and employee recognition programs. Allana serves as the chair of the Employee Recognition Committee and the Faculty/Staff Wellness Committee.

    As a trained advocate, Allana considers her transition to higher education seamless as she went from advocating for clients to advocating for students. Allana’s passions include equity work and community mentorship. In her spare time, she teaches higher education law and policy to graduate students. She also enjoys poetry, podcasts, and game night.

  • Cezar Mesquita Director of Admissions, Western Washington University

    Cezar O. Mesquita currently serves as director of the Office of Admissions at Western Washington University. He has extensive professional experience in higher education, including previous service as director of Admissions at the University of Idaho; dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Antioch College, and director of Admissions at College of Wooster, both in Ohio; director of Admission and assistant women’s soccer coach at Doane College in Nebraska; and as director for Diversity Enrollment, interim director of Admissions and assistant director of Admissions at the University of Denver. In addition he served as interim executive director/assistant director for the Latin American Educational Foundation in Denver. Mesquita has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Nebraska and a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Alabama.

    With more than 25 years of marketing and communications experience, Renea Morris has led diverse teams at several companies. Her previous roles include serving as director of a multinational corporation and as co-founder of a non-profit organization. Most recently, she served as chief marketing officer at Ohio University (OHIO) for nine years. There, Renea developed and implemented strategies to amplify the university’s overall brand and enhance stakeholder relationships. Under her leadership, Renea’s team helped drive increases in applications, improvement in class quality, and growth in enrollment for several consecutive years.
