Project Manager, Creative
The Creative Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and orchestrating the development and execution of creative and branding projects from inception to completion. This role bridges the gap between the client’s vision and the creative team’s output, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and align with the client’s brand objectives. They should be comfortable managing creative, content, and multimedia projects within a cohesive brand strategy. The candidate should also have an interest in the higher education space.
Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy and Creative Project Management
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop and refine brand concepts and strategies.
- Ensure all creative work aligns with the client’s brand guidelines and objectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to the creative team to enhance the quality of deliverables.
- Quality Assurance
- Oversee the quality of all deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards of excellence.
- Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of creative work before presenting to clients.
- Implement processes and standards to maintain consistency across all project outputs.
- Task and Asset Management
- Masters the use of Asana, effectively and autonomously assigns out tasks to the proper team members. Managing the workflow of those cards and overall project boards to ensure client deadlines and turnaround times are met
- Ensures quality control of final client deliverables to ensure client satisfaction, troubleshoots problems as needed
- Ensures internal project teams have all the assets and information they need in order to do their work successfully
- Communication
- Practices effective communication and serves as the primary liaison between Account Managers and internal departments to define client needs and/or respond to concerns in a timely manner
- Creates and maintains an open line of communication with the Account Manager, relaying internal team updates and flagging task delays when necessary
- Communicates and creates relationships with clients through Asana, providing notification of project updates and requesting assets and approvals
- Share call agendas and meeting notes with client and/or Carnegie team members via Asana
Qualifications:
- Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and attention to detail to effectively review final deliverables and execute processes
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively organize and prioritize responsibilities relative to internal and external projects
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines to support teams in a timely manner
- Strong writing and communication skills needed to clearly collaborate with clients and team members
- Highly competent in using Google Suites, including Google Drive and Google Docs: Utilize tools for client work and client calls
- Record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to closure
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Understanding of project management theories and how to apply them
- Dexterity and the wherewithal to effectively deal with ambiguity, change, and continuous process improvements
- Interpersonal skills to positively collaborate with team members and represent the company to clients, with the ability to function as an equal partner in an autonomous team
- Friendly and easygoing, comfortable in a casual office environment
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods
Experience
- College Graduate, preferably with a concentration in Project Management, Marketing, or Communications or equivalent life/work experience
- 2-5 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, and timelines, and effectively delivering solutions
- Knowledge and experience in the higher education space is preferred
- Asana experience is a plus
