Enrollment Data Specialist
The Enrollment Data Specialist serves the data needs of our Student Search clients as well as supports all aspects of enrollment strategy operations. They license and process lists from multiple sources, prepare internal and external reports, contribute to documentation, and ensure communications about lists and client data are accurate and timely.
Responsibilities:
- Source List Purchasing
- Build student lists per parameters outlined by the Enrollment Strategist utilizing multiple vendor interfaces
- Perform pre-purchase Quality Assurance on lists built by other Enrollment Data Specialists
- Purchase QA’d lists and import them into Slate
- Communicate with Enrollment Strategists to amend list parameters as needed to reach desired volumes
- Collaborate closely with members of the Enrollment Strategy and Slate Communications team to ensure smooth and accurate list management
- Enrollment Strategy Reporting
- Prepare internal and external queries and reports in Slate
- Troubleshoot and provide insights as needed to assist with strategy review
- Prepare individual project and cross-client data for analysis and reporting
- Search Data Management
- Maintain historical and search client data
- Coordinate data needs with data leads, account managers, and Slate strategists
- Troubleshoot and provide insights as needed to assist with strategy review
- Prepare individual project and cross-client data for analysis and reporting
- Utilize multiple data processing and visualization tools, and list vendor interfaces
- Manage transfer of client data for Carnegie-hosted Slate instances
- Internal Project Contribution
- Contribute to team innovation ideation conversations, taking ownership of projects, processes, and integrations that interest them and meet the needs of the team
- Team Operations
- Document processes for data operations; update documentation as needed
- Identify and implement operational improvements and efficiencies
- Complete other data reviews and research projects as assigned
- Assist in competitive intelligence projects and research
- Manage student surveys including analyzing student data and preparing data for review
- Perform pre-sales research to gather client profile information for the Sales team
Qualifications:
- Curiosity about data challenges, both overall and unique to the college admissions market
- Expertise in Microsoft Access and Excel or other database systems
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
- Physical ability to be in a stationary position at a desk and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in higher education, preferably enrollment
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and database systems
- Experience with CRM systems
- Experience in segmentation marketing analysis
- Experience manipulating large data files
